Don't Stop The Music!
We want every young person to be able to take part in music and be able to follow the progression paths they wish. We understand that many families struggle to stretch to afford these opportunities. Where possible we keep costs down to a minimum to cover our delivery costs and most activities are heavily subsidised by the Hub. Where those subsidies don't apply we offer bursaries to help cover the cost. The categories covered include:
- families facing financial barriers / on low income
- pupils eligible for pupil premium
- Looked After Children (LAC)
GSW Music Hub Glos offer the following bursary. However, our individual delivery partners offer additional bursaries for the activities they run so you should check out our 'Delivery Partners' page and contact them for more details on how they can support children to make music.

Student Bursaries
Up to £200 per term (3 term year) is available for pupils in receipt of pupil premium, or for those families who can demonstrate hardship, to receive individual or small group tuition.
Students could be those playing an instrument, singing or making music using electronic devices. The primary aim of the scheme is to support pupils who have received group tuition and now require support to progress further.

Applications for the 2025-26 academic year
We are currently awaiting our funding agreement details from Arts Council England for the academic year 2025-26. We hope to receive news in June/July 2025 but in the meantime we will accept applications for bursaries now for the forthcoming academic year and confirm with all those applicable once funding has been agreed.
